Facial cleansing in a beauty salon

What characterizes a facial cleansing procedure and why is it so important

Facial cleansing is one of the basic cosmetic procedures, which involves manual cleansing of the skin from blemishes in the form of closed, open and milia. Manual cleansing is often the first stage preparing the skin for subsequent treatment procedures. The entire procedure lasts from one to two hours, depending on the condition of the skin and the size of the treatment area. It is worth noting here that whether the skin needs manual cleansing should be discussed in advance during a cosmetology consultation. Although the manual method is not comfortable and is time-consuming, it is invaluable - it allows you to remove deep blackheads, which cannot be achieved using other facial cleansing methods.

The course of a cosmetic procedure: manual facial cleansing in Głogów at Trycho-Derm

It should be noted at the beginning that there is no single scheme for the course of the procedure. It all depends on the type of skin and the problem with which the client comes and on the beautician / cosmetologist performing the procedure. Manual facial cleansing begins with make-up removal and initial skin cleansing. The procedure is performed manually with or without the use of appropriate supporting tools, e.g. a spoon for extracting blackheads. The person performing this procedure must undoubtedly know and apply the principles of antiseptics and aseptics. It is also important that the beautician is able to technically perform the procedure correctly, which requires experience and knowledge about the functions and physiology of the skin, skin diseases, forms of pharmacological treatment and care, as well as proper assessment of the skin condition and qualification for the procedure. Proper manual skin cleansing, especially in the case of difficult skin, is one of the most difficult treatment procedures in a cosmetology salon. However, a procedure performed correctly allows for achieving effects disproportionate to any other cleansing technique and is often the basis for effective pharmacological treatment.

Contraindications to the procedure

  • open wounds or skin damage in the treatment area
  • viral diseases (e.g. herpes), bacterial, fungal skin diseases,
  • active inflammatory skin diseases (e.g. eczema, psoriasis, inflammatory acne)
  • after invasive procedures or other procedures that temporarily increase the sensitivity of the skin to mechanical stimuli
  • during some dermatological treatment procedures
  • after excessive skin exposure to the sun (reddened skin)

Skin care after the procedure

It is important to use sun protection before leaving the house to avoid direct sunlight and high and low temperatures - saunas, solariums and swimming pools should be postponed for a few days after the procedure. In addition, special attention should be paid to limiting exposure to dust and dirt and maintaining hygiene rules in the surrounding environment.

Facial skin care at home

Cleansing the face is an essential element of the daily care ritual. Failure to follow the rule of regular face washing leads to the multiplication of bacteria and does not allow the skin to metabolize properly, which leads to the formation of blackheads. To cleanse the skin, we need a product appropriately selected for the skin type and its needs. Colway collagen gel and Environ oil, which is part of the three-phase face wash set, work very well.
